What a waste of my time! I thought this would be a love story but it came across as family story of 3 people who are just terrible to each other. The predicament that children become their parents is true in this awful, boring sad story. The father is a boring scientists who got lucky with an extremely selfish, 'arty' woman who doesn't know what she wants in life even at 50, loves & wants her kid to be only her kid and never takes her husband's side in a fight...ever!! And worst of them all is the kid(of no fault of his own). After reading this book I never want to get married or have children. Blah!!!
